CANON RF 600MM F/11 IS STM LENS Autofocus Performance

The STM motor provides smooth and quiet autofocus, optimized for still subjects and slow-moving wildlife. While not as fast as L-series USM lenses, it performs reliably for long-distance tracking in bright lighting conditions.

It works best with stable shooting setups or controlled panning when tracking animals or birds.

CANON RF 600MM F/11 IS STM LENS Optical Performance

Despite its compact design, the lens delivers good sharpness in the center frame, especially when used in bright conditions. The f/11 aperture helps maintain consistent image quality across the frame.

The diffractive optics design minimizes chromatic aberration and allows strong reach in a lightweight body, though background blur is more limited compared to faster super-telephoto lenses.
