Canon RF 800mm f/11 IS STM Lens

CANON RF 800MM F/11 IS STM LENS Overview

The Canon RF 800mm f/11 IS STM Lens is an ultra-telephoto lens designed for extreme-distance photography such as wildlife, birding, and safari shooting. It delivers massive 800mm reach in a surprisingly lightweight and portable design, making it one of the most accessible ways to achieve ultra-long focal length photography.
Super long reach, super compact design, the Canon RF 800mm f/11 IS STM is a unique telephoto prime featuring a distinct mixture of focal length and form factor. Characterized by its retractable design and a fixed f/11 aperture, this lens's sleek profile makes handheld super-tele shooting a very real possibility, and four stop-effective optical image stabilization further helps to achieve sharp imagery when working in difficult lighting conditions.

Its fixed f/11 aperture and diffractive optics system allow Canon to keep the lens compact while maintaining usable sharpness and stabilization.

CANON RF 800MM F/11 IS STM LENS Autofocus Performance

The STM motor provides smooth, quiet, and stable autofocus, optimized for distant subjects. While not as fast as L-series USM lenses, it performs reliably for wildlife and bird tracking in good lighting conditions.

It works best when used with stable shooting techniques due to the extreme focal length.
